Ascom, a global leader in healthcare ICT and mobile workflow solutions, is seeking a dedicated IT Support Apprentice to join their team. As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be the first line of support, handling remote support requests, managing tickets, and providing assistance with hardware and software configurations. In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- First Line Support: Act as the initial point of contact for IT-related issues, providing prompt and effective support to end-users.
- Remote Support: Deliver remote technical assistance to clients, guiding them through issue resolution and ensuring their systems and applications are functioning correctly.
- Handling Tickets: Manage and prioritise incoming support tickets, ensuring all issues are logged, tracked, and resolved within agreed service levels.
- Hardware & Software Support: Provide comprehensive support for a wide range of hardware and software, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Configuring Hardware and Software: Configure and install hardware and software according to company standards and user requirements.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £20,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8.30 to 4.30
- 24 days annual leave + bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
- Customer Service Experience
- Keen attention to detail
- Problem solving abilities
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
