IT2 Group, a trusted IT support and managed services provider based in Nottingham with over 25 years of experience delivering bespoke IT solutions to businesses across the UK, is looking for an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in technology and a passion for learning. They will be curious, motivated and willing to research solutions when they do not yet know the answer. Strong organisation skills, resilience under pressure and clear communication skills are essential, as the role involves working with both colleagues and clients. The apprentice will work alongside an experienced, friendly and supportive IT team that is committed to developing new talent and helping individuals grow in confidence and capability.

As part of the apprenticeship, structured training will be delivered through Baltic Apprenticeships, including two day training blocks every four to six weeks to build technical knowledge and support practical experience in the workplace.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Support IT security technologies including endpoint protection, Zero Trust security models, and secure edge solutions.
  • Assist with password resets, authorisation processes using internal tools, and creating and managing new user accounts.
  • Follow internal security procedures, completing full training before working independently.
  • Apply documentation to support troubleshooting, ticket handling, and client delivery tasks.
  • Prioritise and manage tickets using assigned priority levels within the ticketing system.
  • Assist with hardware installation, configuration, and upgrades including setting up switches, servers, and end-user devices.
  • Carry out hardware upgrades both on-site and in the office and physically connect equipment.
  • Remote onto machines to diagnose issues such as corrupted system files and manually download and apply patches where required.
  • Gain exposure to networked environments including Windows systems, cloud-based systems, web-based applications, and wireless networks.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

  • Able to explain technical information clearly to colleagues and clients.
  • Positive attitude with a professional approach to work.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £16,640 then this will increase to £22,568 for anyone aged 18-20 and £26,437 for 21+ 
  • 9am-5:30pm Monday to Friday (can be flexible with start times)

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
