A Typical Day in the Job:

• Providing helpdesk support for software, hardware, and end-user IT issues.
• Assisting with the installation and configuration of computer applications and systems.
• Supporting new staff with IT setup, training, and orientation.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, updates, and inspections of IT infrastructure.
• Developing and maintaining internal databases, reporting tools, and systems.
• Auditing and maintaining software licenses and IT inventory.
• Supporting the business with data privacy, backup systems, and cybersecurity practices (including GDPR compliance).
• Participating in IT projects and emergency planning for service continuity.

You’ll work closely with experienced IT professionals and receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships to build a solid foundation in IT support and systems management.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:

• GCSE or A-Level in IT or a related subject.
• A Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and a Grade 5/C in GCSE English
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Eagerness to learn and develop IT knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

 Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £15,700 – £16,700 per annum.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (with a 1-hour lunch break).
• 22 days annual leave + bank holidays.

 Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 IT Support apprenticeship will equip you with the technical and professional skills to launch your IT career. Through live training, self-paced online modules, and one-on-one support, you’ll build practical knowledge of IT systems, user support, infrastructure maintenance, and software development.
