Upton Hall School FCJ, based in The Wirral, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic IT Support Technician Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship opportunity provides a unique chance to kickstart your career in IT while contributing to the success of their school.

Upton Hall School FCJ is a prestigious Roman Catholic Grammar School, catering to girls aged 11-18. Nestled in the heart of the Diocese of Shrewsbury with a proud status as an academy, we are committed to delivering exceptional education and fostering a nurturing environment for our students.

In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Technician Level 3 apprentice, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Connect, set up and check PCs, mobile devices for normal operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance task, including installing basic software packages and setting common options
  • Set up hardware and perform basic checking of unnetworked PCs.
  • Fault find and rectify AV issues including PCs/display screen/ projectors/ sound system and interactive touch screens
  • Carry out basic safety checks

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £16,000 per annum
  • Monday – Thursday 08:15 – 16:30
  • Friday 08:15 – 16:15
  • Fully office based
  • 27 days holiday

  • Grade 4/C in Maths and English GCSE or Functional Skills equivalent
