This isn't just a job; it's a comprehensive programme that will see you gain valuable, hands-on experience as a Microsoft IT Support Apprentice, directly progressing into a Level 4 CompTIA Network Engineer Programme. This 3-year programme is designed to provide you with a robust foundation in IT support and networking. You will start as an IT Support Apprentice, gaining practical experience in a fast-paced environment while working towards relevant Microsoft certifications. Upon successful completion of this phase, you will seamlessly transition into a Level 4 CompTIA Network Engineer Programme, further expanding your expertise and opening doors to advanced career opportunities within Bluebell IT Solutions.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Ticketing System Management:
- Utilising our ticketing system to efficiently work on and resolve helpdesk tickets and service requests.
- Accurately managing and recording all work undertaken within the ticketing system.
- Ensuring client documentation is meticulously maintained and updated.
- Splitting tickets with multiple issues into individual tickets for streamlined resolution.
- Proactively monitoring tickets to prevent them from becoming "stale" and ensuring continuous progress.
- Monitoring and Management Tool Use:
- Regularly reviewing the Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) dashboard and applying remediation actions as guided by our internal processes.
- Reviewing regularly scheduled and automated actions within the RMM system to ensure optimal performance.
- Communication, Reporting, and Risk:
- Escalating tickets that require the expertise of a Technical Support Analyst.
- Maintaining clear, consistent, and proactive communication with clients, providing updates on their ticket status every step of the way.
- Notifying clients promptly of any changes or outages related to their issues.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Starting salary – £14,500-£16,500 per annum
- An initial increment following the successful completion of your probation period.
- Further increments as you successfully pass apprenticeship projects.
- Increments upon achieving Microsoft certifications.

- Grade 5/C in English & 4/C in Maths GCSE – Required
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
