This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company’s ongoing digital transformation. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Assist with password resets, user onboarding and offboarding by creating and disabling user accounts, handle basic anti-virus configuration and monitoring.
- Use an Excel based ticketing system to log and track IT issues, recording details such as issue status, actions taken and resolution times.
- Use a range of communication channels such as phone, email, messaging, video calls, and ticketing system.
- Support staff via phone and email queries and direct assistance covering a wide range of tasks from peripheral support and troubleshooting to account set up and basic software issues.
- Assist with hardware repairs and component replacements as needed. Support installation and configuration of devices such as switches and firewalls.
- Assist with the installation of software updates as part of a system maintenance tasks, ensuring all systems are current and functioning efficiently.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £14,722.50 per annum.
- Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 7:30am-5:30pm.
- 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Good computer skills preferably shown via a GCSE in Computer Science or an equivalent course.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications including Windows, Excel and Outlook.
- Passion for IT.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+.
- Grade 6 in GCSE Maths and Grade 5 in GCSE English.
