As an IT Apprentice, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that their school community is equipped with reliable and efficient IT resources. From assisting staff and students with IT queries to maintaining and troubleshooting ICT equipment, your contributions will directly impact the learning environment.



In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Supporting all staff and students with the use of IT resources, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Spending time within the school community to maintain ICT equipment, ensuring it remains operational and accessible to all.
  • Responding promptly to IT-related issues and requests from staff, addressing concerns with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Conducting basic electrical testing of computer and audio-visual equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Assisting with the installation and setup of data projectors, computers, peripherals, and software to facilitate teaching and learning.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £12,480 per annum
  • Working Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
  • 4pm finish on Fridays!

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for technology and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • You must hold a valid driving license for this position
  • GCSE Grade 5 in English and grade 4 in Maths is required for this role

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification, and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
