Baltic Apprenticeships are working in partnership with Intergence to find their next Network Engineer Apprentice. Intergence are a specialist technology consultancy that helps organisations design, build and optimise their IT infrastructure, offering services across areas such as network management, cloud solutions, systems integration and digital transformation. They work with a wide range of clients to improve performance, security and efficiency across complex IT environments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about networking and infrastructure, and looking to start a career in IT. The successful candidate will join Intergence as part of a structured apprenticeship programme, gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment while developing essential technical skills. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and consultants, supporting real-world projects and building a strong foundation for a long-term career in networking.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Install and configure network infrastructure (hardware and cloud systems)
• Maintain network security and performance (firewalls, updates, access controls)
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues using diagnostic tools
• Create and maintain technical documentation (diagrams, configs, recovery plans)
• Support operations through ticket management, prioritisation, and change processes

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• Annual salary of £21,000
• Working hours: 8:00am–4:00pm, 9:00am–5:00pm, or 10:00am–6:00pm
• 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
• Working from home Friday's
• Fully office-based role

Desired Skills, Qualities and Experience:

• Passion over qualifications – a genuine interest in networking and IT is key
• Strong communication and customer service skills (retail experience is a plus)
• A willingness to learn and grow internally
• Proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset
• Grade 5/C in English and Grade 4/C in Maths is required for this role

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 4 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the world of networking and infrastructure.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across key areas such as network configuration, security, cloud technologies and troubleshooting. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and gain the qualification and confidence needed to thrive as a Network Engineer.

You’ll be based full-time with your employer and will quickly become a valued member of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
