Are you looking to kickstart your IT career while making a real difference in people’s lives? Autism Together, a leading UK charity supporting individuals with autism, is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice to join their friendly and experienced team.
Based in Wirral, Autism Together supports over 450 autistic people and employs more than 800 staff, providing essential services across residential, supported living, and community settings. Technology plays a vital role in the delivery of their care, and this apprenticeship is your chance to help keep their services running smoothly while gaining industry-recognised skills.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide first-line IT support in person, over the phone and via email to staff across various sites.
- Managing service tickets through the ManageEngine Helpdesk system ensuring issues are resolved or escalated in line with SLA's.
- Carrying out password resets, creating new accounts, and managing group access levels through account audits.
- Performing weekly device health checks, software updates and system monitoring using tools like Microsoft Intune and Task Manager.
- Replacing and upgrading hardware components such as RAM, hard drives, laptop screens and network equipment like switched and routers.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- A genuine interest in IT, whether through personal hobbies or study
- Hardworking and dependable- someone who shows up, asks questions and wants to learn
- Strong communication and people skills- you'll be interacting with staff across multiple departments
- A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/c in GCSE Maths is required for this role.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £15,000 per annum.
- 37.5 hours per week- 9am- 5pm, Monday- Friday.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
