Baltic Apprenticeships are recruiting on behalf of our client, they are looking for a Software Development Apprentice to join their rapidly growing team! Offering a superb £16,000 salary, company social events, the opportunity to develop your skills further and much more. Our client has a track record of successful apprentices and you could be next! This really is the perfect opportunity to begin your career in the industry.

As an apprentice you will be tasked with configuring and creating lines of code, optimising web applications, writing simple algorithms and much more! You will be fully immersed in the world of Software Development and given all the tools to build your career in the industry. As well as the in house support you will also work alongside a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships, to provide you with access to industry expert knowledge!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Software Development Qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

Apply tools and techniques to solve programming problems
Configure and create lines of code
Optimising web applications
Writing simple algorithms
Testing source code and debugging code

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

£16,000 per annum
Monday to Thursday 9am-5:30pm, Friday 9am-5pm
28 days paid annual leave, plus Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

An understanding of technologies and and languages which power the web such as PHP, MySQL, CSS and JavaScript would be beneficial
Knowledgeable about accessibility or security compliance
Understanding of the underlying systems on which web applications are developed would be beneficial
A passion for Software Development
Grade 4 in GCSE English and Grade 6 in GCSE Maths

Your Training with Baltic:

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective Software Developer.
