We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain hands-on experience in working with data, supporting analysis, and contributing to data-driven decision-making while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Support the Data team leader in ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of all school data systems.
- Maintain the pupil database, updating the change of address, phone and contact numbers etc. through data collection sheets and CTFs.
- Produce accurately, timely data and information.
- Assist in the creation and use of spreadsheets and marksheets for data capture, reporting and analysis.
- Administer the creation of reports for parents, including checking the accuracy of reports prior to distribution.
- Ensure student reports are uploaded for online sharing with parents in a timely way.
- Assist in the administration of SIMS for preparation for the new academic year, including transition of both Y7 and Y12 students.
- Input and maintain options information within SIMS.
- Support the completion of the whole school timetable, providing support to the school timetable and data manager as required.
- Liaise with other schools to request data transfers for new students e.g. UPNs, CTFs.
- Assist in the administration of the pupil progress reviews and production of reports as necessary.
- Assist in the production of information for DfE / LA / Minerva data requests.
- Assist with the amendments to student timetables.
- Input data information into SIMS and produce the relevant reports as necessary.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team.

- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Grade 4/C in English & 4/C in Maths
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £22,569 per annum
- Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 3.30pm
- Term time only – 12 weeks holiday throughout the year

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective Data Analyst.
