We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Network Engineer Apprentice to join our Technical Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in networking while working alongside experienced engineers on real customer environments. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and implementing network infrastructure, while developing the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to become a qualified Network Engineer.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll receive structured training, mentoring, and exposure to a wide range of networking, cloud, and security technologies. A Typical Day in the Job:

•  Deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support across diverse client environments through the helpdesk platform
• Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls and other key technologies to keep systems running efficiently.
• Troubleshooting real-world technical issues
• Supporting exciting infrastructure projects, Get involved in network upgrades, site visits and improvement projects, including firewall upgrades, switch replacements and configuration changes that enhance business performance.
• Foster strong client relationships by delivering timely, professional support that meets their IT requirements.
• Ensure issues are fully resolved without adverse impact on other systems.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £20,000 – £23,000 per annum
• Shift pattern: Rotates weekly between 8:00am–4:30pm and 9:30am–6:00pm. Each week will include two shifts of each pattern.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Confident communicating with clients and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• A proactive and enthusiastic learner with a genuine passion for IT and supporting users.
• Confident communicating across multiple channels, including phone, email and face-to-face.
• Willing to work towards relevant certifications and accreditations as part of ongoing professional development.
• An understanding of IT environments is desirable. Candidates who have completed a Level 3 IT apprenticeship or hold relevant IT qualifications/certifications are encouraged to apply
