The company specialises in providing reliable, cost-effective IT, cloud, networking and security solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. Sweetbyte is looking for a proactive and motivated individual who is willing to learn and develop their skills. The successful candidate will be working as part of a supportive and collaborative team where knowledge sharing and development are strongly encouraged. Team members work closely together, creating an environment where individuals feel comfortable asking questions and growing in confidence. Training and development are a key part of the role. The apprentice will receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships, with two-day training blocks every four to six weeks. This training is designed to support both technical development and professional growth alongside hands-on experience within the business.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support via helpdesk, logging calls and resolving issues over the phone.
- Conduct customer site visits for IT-related issues.
- Assist with project work, migrations, and rolling out new IT infrastructure.
- Install and configure computers.
- Support PC and Apple Mac systems.
- Configure and support IP telephony systems.
- Perform backup checks and reporting.
- Monitor and maintain customers’ IT systems and network infrastructure.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- Good foundational IT skills and a keen interest in developing technical knowledge.
- Well-organised, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Has good problem-solving skills, showing initiative when diagnosing and resolving IT issues.
- Demonstrates analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to think logically.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently when required.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £14,000-£16,000 per annum.
- 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
