In this role, you’ll work towards your Junior Data Analyst Level 3, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

📥 Collecting & Extracting Data:

  • Pulling product and performance data from platforms such as Shopify, Visualsoft, Brightpearl (ERP), and Peoplevox (WMS)
  • Managing ad-hoc and scheduled reporting through Excel, Google Sheets, and Looker Studio
  • Handling large datasets, including the creation and maintenance of SKU-level product data across systems

📊 Analysing, Interpreting & Enriching Data:

  • Using tools like pivot tables, filters, VLOOKUP, IF, and CONCATENATE to clean and manipulate data
  • Enriching product content for ecommerce using big data insights
  • Monitoring product performance, pricing accuracy, category trends, and stock levels
  • Managing product data within cross-functional systems to ensure consistency and accuracy

📈 Reporting, AI & Business Insight:

  • Building and maintaining dashboards for teams across ecommerce, marketing, inventory, and senior leadership
  • Using AI tools to analyse data, build reporting metrics, and define KPIs
  • Supporting data-driven decision-making across departments with actionable insights

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • GCSE in Maths and English, grade C/4
  • Confident working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
  • Eagerness to learn new systems and processes
  • A proactive mindset – spotting and resolving issues independently
  • Great communication – especially when translating data into plain language
  • Organised and focused with an analytical eye

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £18,000 starting salary
  • Pay increase after 12 months (reverts to National Living Wage)
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in data. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
