Founded in 2018 by Will Hitchmough, who previously worked at several high-profile Sheffield digital agencies, Wildcat Digital was established to deliver digital success to businesses with smaller budgets in a transparent way.
A Typical Day in the Job
As a Content Creator Apprentice, you'll be at the heart of our content strategy, contributing to various aspects of digital marketing:
- Content Creation: Plan and produce engaging written content for websites, client communications, marketing collateral, campaigns, case studies, award submissions, editorials, and social media.
- SEO and Analytics: Monitor and amend marketing campaigns using tools like Google Ads, ensuring they stay within budget and are optimised for target audiences. Analyse campaign performance data using platforms such as Google Analytics, Semrush, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Design and CMS: Create and publish content using Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress and tools including Adobe Suite for both digital and print formats. Design marketing materials such as brochures and leaflets using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the SEO and PPC teams to ensure content aligns with overall marketing strategies and client goals.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge
- A high level of written communication skills is required, as the role is highly content-driven.
- Sociable and confident, with the ability to engage with clients over time.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness and passion to develop and grow within the role and business.
- A keen interest in digital marketing and content creation.
- A Grade 5/C in GCSE Maths and a Grade 4/C in GCSE English is required for this role.
Salary, Hours & Benefits
- Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 per annum
- Hours: 35 hours per week, with flexible working hours between 7am – 7pm
- Hybrid Working: Office-based initially, with more flexibility over time
- Holidays: 22 days annual leave, plus 1 additional day each year (capped at 5 additional days)

- Location: Conveniently based in Sheffield City Centre, offering easy access to local amenities and transport links
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in content creation and digital marketing. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
