Are you ready to kick-start your career in data with a company that powers the future? JDR Cable Systems, a world leader in subsea cable technology, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join their Operations Planning team. JDR Cable Systems designs and manufactures subsea power cables for offshore energy industries around the world. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Support the conversion of customer orders into a production schedule using the company’s ERP scheduling system.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Communicate project updates and highlight potential concerns, such as delays.
- Analyse manufacturing data, including routings, run times, and material usage.
- Assist with resource and inventory planning to optimise production efficiency.
- Present data insights to support Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
- 4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- A strong interest in data, operations, and planning processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
- A motivated and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary: £15,579.20 to £21,673.60 per annum
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid working options available

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in data. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
