BDR Group are looking for a proactive and motivated Data Analyst Apprentice who is enthusiastic about learning, has a keen analytical mindset, and is ready to develop practical skills in a real-world, fast-paced tech environment. In this role, you’ll be supported by a friendly, collaborative team that values your growth and will help you build confidence and competence in data analysis and reporting. You’ll also benefit from structured apprenticeship training with Baltic Apprenticeship, including 2-day learning blocks every 4-6 weeks, giving you dedicated time to build your knowledge, refine your skills and progress within the programme.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships 

A Typical Day in the Job:  

  • Collect and maintain operational, financial, and performance data using Salesforce CRM, Excel spreadsheets, Fleet Check portal, and Tableau.
  • Produce and manage purchase order, expenditure tracking, job completion, labour scheduling, and health & safety compliance reports.
  • Monitor fleet management data and supplier performance, including delivery tracking and reliability.
  • Build and update Power BI dashboards to visualise data from Salesforce and other internal systems.
  • Analyse data using filtering, sorting, averages, totals, and trend analysis to identify patterns and performance issues.
  • Track spending, job duration, resource usage, supplier performance, and delivery times to support operational decision-making.
  • Identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, ROI for customers, and gaps in health & safety compliance.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve delivery reliability, customer value, and service performance.
  • Distribute reports and insights to key stakeholders, including the Operations Director, Operations Managers, Retail Operations Manager, and Account Managers.
  • Support account management activities such as quoting, client communications, and ROI review meetings.
  • Contribute to improved cost control, profitability, productivity, and client experience through data-driven insights.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.  

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge  

  • Passionate about technology and keen to develop a career within a large, fast-paced technology-driven organisation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve problems.
  • Comfortable working with data and numbers, with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain data and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good customer service skills, with an understanding of how data supports customer experience and business decisions.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and analytical techniques.
  • Organised and methodical approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Grade 5 in GCSE Maths and Grade 4 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:  

  • £15,600 per annum.
  • 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
  • 20 day annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Extra day off for birthday.
  • Christmas Shutdown.
  • Excellent progression routes.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in data. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
