Are you passionate about data and keen to start your career in a role where you can really make a difference?

Bohunt Education Trust (BET) is a values-led multi-academy trust committed to delivering high-quality education and improving outcomes for young people across its family of schools. United by the shared ethos of Enjoy, Respect, Achieve, the Trust places strong emphasis on collaboration, professional development, and the effective use of data to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Data Analyst Apprentice to join its central team. This opportunity is well suited to an individual who is enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn. No previous experience in data analysis is required. Instead, the Trust is looking for someone with a positive attitude, a natural curiosity for data, and a genuine desire to develop new skills within a professional environment.

The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and experienced team that is committed to nurturing early careers and providing ongoing guidance and mentoring. This role offers valuable hands-on experience, allowing the apprentice to develop confidence and practical skills while contributing to meaningful projects that support the work of the Trust.

Alongside their role, the apprentice will complete a fully funded training programme with Baltic Apprenticeships, delivered through structured two-day training blocks every four to six weeks. This programme provides industry-relevant learning, recognised qualifications, and the opportunity to apply newly developed skills directly within the workplace.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships

  • Check data for accuracy and organise it so it is clear, complete, and ready to use.
  • Use simple data tools and methods such as filters, tables, averages, and look-up functions to explore and understand information.
  • Create reports that show patterns and trends in areas such as academic performance, attendance, behaviour, participation, and student wellbeing.
  • Help teachers and leaders understand what the data shows so they can support students more effectively.
  • Prepare information for reports shared within the Trust and with external organisations such as the Department for Education.
  • Support the Trust in understanding its overall performance, costs, and areas for improvement.
  • Present information in a clear and easy-to-understand way for different audiences.
  • Spend most of the role working with data, including collecting, checking, analysing, and reporting on information.
  • Optionally support wider school activities or help colleagues with basic Excel tasks, depending on interest and availability.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
