Siemlus is a forward-thinking technology provider delivering seamless IT solutions to the hospitality sector, supporting businesses to operate efficiently and securely. As the company continues to grow, Siemlus is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join its dynamic team.

In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting IT systems, responding to helpdesk queries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with installations both remotely and on-site.

Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships giving you the skills and confidence to build a long-term career in IT.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Taking help desk calls, logging and tracking calls, and ensuring that all issues are properly recorded and resolved
  • Logging tickets and keeping records of queries
  • Analysing call logs to identify common trends and underlying problems
  • Diagnosing Hardware and Software faults
  • Working closely with field engineers to visit customer sites if the problem is more serious
  • Assisting with the installation of hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
  • Updating self-help documents for customers
  • Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. 

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

 

  • Salary: £17,000 Per annum
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Holiday: 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays)

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

 

  • Strong passion for IT
  • Knowledge of Software and hardware
  • Self-motivated and desire to learn new skills on a daily basis
  • Strong communication skills with confidence speaking over the telephone
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Self-sufficient and proactive
  • A minimum of Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 4 in English is required

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Apprentice.
