Are you a talented and ambitious Software Developer looking to make a significant impact in the dynamic and rapidly evolving healthcare industry? Look no further! We're working with a leader in digital health solutions, who is seeking Level 4 Software Developer Apprentices to join their innovative team.

With over 10 years of experience of working with the NHS, their digital health technology is tried, tested and proven. They provide the technology for the largest Oximetry@Home service in the UK and are the chosen provider of remote patient monitoring services across Scotland.

As a Software Developer Apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for writing code using their bespoke “toolkit” which forms the basis for the development work using Groovy and JASON, work collaboratively within a project teams using agile methodologies, participate in sprint planning, sprint demos and retrospectives, plus so much more to enhance your development skills to reach your true potential!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Software Development qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • They have a bespoke “toolkit” which forms the basis for the development work and use Groovy and JASON (c++/c#,javascript) to supplement the toolkit
  • Support with deployment of products offering end-user support through Beta and Alpha testing
  • Build high quality services to agreed specifications and deadlines
  • Work collaboratively within a project teams using agile methodologies
  • Participate in sprint planning, sprint demos and retrospectives
  • Understand design specifications and scenarios, and produce detailed test plans
  • Produce high quality automated tests to agreed specifications and deadlines

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary – £18,000
  • Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 1 Hour Lunch
  • Flexible working hours available
  • 26 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent problem solving skills and a quick learner, with the ability to become an expert in the in-house Toolkit
  • Some background experience in programming either through learning or experience
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to become an expert in the in-house Automated Test Framework
  • Experience using postman would be beneficial
  • Grade 4/C in Math's & English GCSE
