APPRENTICE OF THE MONTH
It gives us great honour to award June’s Apprentice of The Month award to…
Sam Morgan, a Level 3 IT Support Technician apprentice at Spencer Academies Trust.

Sam’s apprenticeship journey and work ethic were highly praised by Matthew Rose, the Head of IT infrastructure, who nominated him for recognition.

“Sam Morgan has been an IT apprentice at Spencer Academies Trust since January 2023. In that time, he has successfully deployed a sign-in app across the Trust and its 26 schools, allowing the entire organisation to be part of one single system. He also installed and arranged BENQ screen management software in two schools, laying the groundwork for Trust-wide implementation. This will enable remote device management and play an enormous role in streamlining IT’s workload. Further, Sam has been effectively managing the Trust’s iPad management system, which consists of over 800 devices.

In addition to his technical skills, Sam is a great learner with a strong work ethic. He is punctual, professional and always eager to help. These traits were recently recognised by Baltic Apprenticeships when they named him Session Superstar after a recent training session. We have been extremely happy with Sam’s work since he joined us at the Trust and consider him a great asset to our team.”

Keep up the great work Sam!

STAND OUT NOMINEES
Join us as we highlight and celebrate our top 5 stand-out nominees who have consistently gone above and beyond in their roles and have been nominated for their remarkable achievements.

BETHANY HILL, LESTERS PACKAGING
“Since starting with us, Bethany has been a breath of fresh air. Her creativity and enthusiasm have shone through, and she’s grasped both the role and the business extremely well. She was thrown in at the deep end when we took her to film at a client’s premises just a few days into the job. Still, she took that in her stride and managed to create not only a professional video but also took the learnings from that and took them into subsequent videos she’s produced. We recently installed a new video and photography studio that Bethany, after some initial training, has been using to great effect. She’s grasped the benefits of planning and storyboarding content to make sure that things run smoothly when it comes to a shoot, and she’s created a content plan that she shares with the wider team so that we all know what’s happening and when. This has involved her dealing with several internal departments, and she’s integrated really well, encouraging all the teams to get involved. In general, Bethany has exceeded our expectations and is well on the way to becoming an invaluable member of the team.”

JACK READ, WEBDNA
“Since joining our team, Jack has grown in his understanding and ability in a wide range of marketing techniques. He has quickly grasped the intricacies of multiple marketing systems, showcasing an impressive ability to apply them effectively. Jack’s creativity shines through his innovative ideas and fresh perspectives, which have contributed to the success of our marketing campaigns. Jack’s positive attitude has made him a valuable asset to our team. He collaborates seamlessly with colleagues, fostering a supportive and productive work environment. In recognition of his performance, progress, and dedication. He is a valued member of the team and is contributing to the success of webdna.”

JOSH BAKER, JMW DIGITAL LTD
“In the short time he’s been with us, Josh has created exceptional content for many different mediums, including (but not limited to) social media, e-mail marketing and e-com websites. The initiative he shows to constantly better himself, and the company, are invaluable. He has also received exemplary feedback from his coach Rachael regarding the logged hours/reports he’s done so far – I believe Josh should be recognised for his outstanding contribution to our business.”

ADAM PETRIE, CEF UK
“Adam has been a team player from the moment he joined us as an apprentice in July 2022. His thirst for knowledge is present daily and he goes into all his courses, projects, with a positive “can do“ attitude. He is a valued member of the team who is building in confidence on a daily basis and is well respected in the group.”

MATTHEW FENWICK, NORTH EAST LEARNING TRUST
“I just wanted to feedback a little on Matts performance at work over the last few months.  Due to staffing shortages, he has often been left working as the only technician on site, yet the feedback I’ve had from staff in general has been absolutely glowing. Matthew has stepped up and handled the pressure exceptionally well; he knows when to ask for support and has received feedback (especially during exam times) that he is responsive, effective and always has a smile on his face. I’m very aware of the additional pressure he has been under, and he has rolled with it. I cannot give enough praise for how Matt has been throughout.”
