This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Data Apprentice to join The Consortium Academy Trust and gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Data qualification.

You will play a key role in supporting the Trust's data function, helping to maintain data quality, identify trends, improve reporting processes, and support schools in making informed decisions through data. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop valuable skills in data analysis, reporting, database management, and process automation.

As part of the apprenticeship programme, the successful candidate will receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships. This includes two-day training blocks every 4-6 weeks, alongside continuous workplace learning and mentoring, allowing the apprentice to build both technical knowledge and practical experience while developing their career in Data.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data & Business Insight qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Review and manage data report request logs.
  • Investigate and resolve reporting and data refresh issues.
  • Analyse datasets and identify opportunities for data cleansing and standardisation.
  • Monitor data trends and highlight potential risks, issues, or opportunities.
  • Support school staff in understanding data, reports, and performance trends.
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of the Trust's Snowflake database.
  • Support the automation of data collection, processing, and reporting activities.
  • Help improve data quality and reporting accuracy across the Trust.
  • Produce and maintain accurate documentation relating to data processes and systems.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple schools and departments.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns and trends.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Grade 4/C in both Maths and English (Required)

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary: £22,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week Working Pattern: (Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm) (Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm)

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in Data. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
