Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centrepiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.

 

At ZEISS Group, we are looking for a forward-thinking and motivated individual to join us as a Business Analyst Apprentice.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting business and digital transformation initiatives within a global technology organisation. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will help investigate business challenges, analyse processes, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement. You will play an important role in supporting change initiatives, process optimisation, automation opportunities, and the adoption of innovative digital solutions that deliver measurable business value.

As part of the Enterprise Architecture and Digital Transformation function, you will develop practical skills in business analysis, process modelling, stakeholder engagement, and solution evaluation, whilst contributing to projects that shape the future of the organisation. This role offers an excellent platform to build a successful career in Business Analysis, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Transformation, or related disciplines.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Support enterprise architecture and process automation initiatives across business and technology functions.
  • Investigate business needs, identified problems, and assess opportunities for improvement.
  • Capture, document, and map current-state business processes to support analysis and transformation.
  • Gather and analyse the business requirements, including the tracking and implementation of the required changes.
  • Assist in the development of business cases and solution evaluation to support with decision-making
  • Identified business risks, improvement opportunities, and process optimisation initiatives.

  • Proactive, ambitious, and eager to learn
  • Outgoing and confident
  • Logical thinking
  • Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English
  • Desirable GCSE Business Studies (Grade 4/C)

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Starting salary: £18,000, dependent on experience and in line with National Minimum Wage requirements.
  • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
