We specialise in IT support, cloud services, cybersecurity, telephony, and consultancy, helping organisations maintain reliable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Network Engineer Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to develop practical networking and IT skills while working alongside experienced professionals supporting real client environments. You will gain hands‑on experience with network systems, troubleshoot connectivity issues, assist with infrastructure setup and maintenance, and learn the core skills needed for a career in network engineering.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Install, configure, and maintain physical, virtual, and cloud-based network infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and upgrade network systems using tools such as Wireshark, Netool, pfSense, and the Ticketbase system to record performance and escalations.
• Create and maintain documentation including network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, and recovery plans to support transparency and continuity.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, prioritising tasks based on business impact and minimising downtime during network changes.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Completed a Level 3 IT Support Technician Apprenticeship (or similar) or worked as an IT technician for a minimum of 2 years
• Good communication skills.
• Displays confidence.
• Willingness to learn.
• Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 4 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £20,000 – £25,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday – 8am till 4:30pm or 9am till 5:30pm
