At Cornerstone Design & Marketing, we’re not your average agency. We’re a creative, forward-thinking team based just outside Manchester and we’re looking for a driven, curious mind to join us as our next Software Developer Apprentice.

You’ll be working alongside experienced developers on real client projects which includes building websites, digital tools and awesome online experiences for well-known brands. You’ll be hands-on from day one, learning the ropes, experimenting with new tech, and getting the kind of experience that sets you up for a future in digital development.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Software Development Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Test and debug code to ensure accessibility, usability, and performance.
• Gain working knowledge on the latest cyber security best practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams (design, dev, project management).
• Follow coding best practices and learn industry standards.
• Work across multiple projects simultaneously with different scopes and timelines.
• Attend project meetings, client briefings, and internal project reviews.
• Learn how to scope, plan, and deliver a web project from discovery to launch.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

• Curious, motivated individuals who want to learn and grow in a fast-paced industry.
• Interested in how a web team operates, from coding through to client delivery.
• Good communicators who work well in a team and aren’t afraid to ask questions.
• Someone who is proactive and able to show initiative.
• Organised, with an eye for detail in both development and documentation.
• Motivated to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
• Happy working with PHP and JavaScript, and WordPress.

 Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £18,000 per annum.
• 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

• Be part of a friendly, dynamic team with past success in mentoring apprentices to become permanent employees

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

With our unique apprenticeship programme, you'll build an impressive range of coding skills – and learn to thrive as a junior developer.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
