King’s School is looking for a motivated IT Apprentice to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting staff and students, fixing IT issues, setting up devices, and learning how networks and security systems work behind the scenes.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Support IT security tasks like password resets, MFA setup, and antivirus checks.
• Use technical documents and guides to follow policies and complete tasks.
• Log and track IT issues through the Halo helpdesk system.
• Communicate with staff and suppliers via phone, email, or Teams.
• Use tools like Intune and remote support software to fix IT problems.
• Help install and update hardware and software.
• Learn how wired, wireless, and cloud systems work by shadowing technicians.
• Use simple scripts and commands to automate basic tasks.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

• Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics & Grade 5 in GCSE English
• Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to fixing issues.
• Basic understanding of computers, networks, and common software.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills for helping users and working in a team.
• Good attention to detail when following technical steps or documenting work.
• Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
• A positive attitude and interest in IT and technology.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £15,186.26 per annum
• 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday
• Holiday – 25 days per annum + 2 Bursary days + bank holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
