As our new IT Apprentice, you’ll join a forward-thinking team supporting the digital backbone of a fast-growing, purpose-driven business. You’ll gain hands-on experience working across support, infrastructure, software, and systems, directly contributing to making our operations more efficient, secure, and scalable – all while learning from seasoned professionals and growing into your future in tech.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Manage, record and report tickets/request in the IT helpdesk system
- Support with the governance of the IT helpdesk system
- Troubleshoot User Issues and escalate to other team members when needed
- Active Directory Administration (User/Group creation and password resets)
- Software installation/licensing
- M365 (Email, Teams and Sharepoint)/Azure Administration
- Provide support at 4 main sites, including assisting with key events requiring technology (e.g. Town Halls)
- Contribute to team meetings
- Work closely with other relationship holders, senior managers and knowledge managers
- Identify and agreeing personal development needs
- Keep up to date with product/service developments
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- A proven aptitude for IT / Technology
- Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics & Grade 5 in GCSE English
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £18,000 per annum.
- 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Option to buy/sell 5 days annual leave per year
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
