King Edward VI schools are happy, flourishing, and friendly communities as well as outstandingly successful, selective schools. The IT tech team supports the schools across one network infrastructure. Support consists of all technologies that utilise this infrastructure, including Microsoft File & Print Services, VOIP & Biometrics
You will be an essential part of the team as an IT Apprentice, responsible for a wide range of tasks such as reporting, analysing, visualising data & everything in-between to enhance your IT skills to become an effective IT support technician.
In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:
- Producing reports for key users (HR, Finance, Executive teams)
- Management information and KPI reporting
- Reports related to organisational structure, establishment control, pay, and user access
- Conducting regular audits and controls to ensure data quality and integrity
- Identifying trends and patterns in workforce structure and payroll
- Supporting strategic decisions through KPI reporting
- To attend appropriate internal and external meetings, as directed by your line manage
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Salary – £22,000
- Hybrid Working – 3 days in office, 2 WFH
- Monday – Friday – 35 Hours per week
- 28 days’ holiday per year, plus 8 bank holidays and 4 concessionary days
