Kickstart your career in data with an exciting apprenticeship at RS Industrial Services (RSIS)!

We’re a leading independent supplier of cranes, lifting equipment, and safety solutions, and we believe fresh ideas and new skills are key to our success. This apprenticeship is a chance to learn on the job, gain a recognised qualification, and work with experienced professionals who will help you grow. You’ll get hands-on with real business data, using tools like Excel and Power BI to spot trends, solve problems, and support better decision-making across the business.

We’re looking for someone motivated, curious, and ready to learn. No previous experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to develop your skills. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships 

A Typical Day in the Job:  

  • Collect data from sales reports, sales analysis, purchasing reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Export data from the Intact IQ system into Power BI, Excel, and Python for analysis.
  • Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and charts to analyse data.
  • Create reports and visualisations to identify patterns and trends (e.g., ageing stock, customer spend, supplier purchasing).
  • Support decision-making by providing insights on cost saving, profit margins, sales performance, and productivity.
  • Carry out small administrative tasks related to the ERP system.
  • Perform data cleansing to ensure accuracy before analysis.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.  

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge  

  • Having a methodical approach towards anything.
  • Being able to identify small details.
  • Able to pick up on mistakes.
  • Confidence in themselves and their speaking as they will be reporting figures back to internal stake holders.
  • Desire to want to progress onto Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship after Level 3
  • Grade 5 in GCSE Maths and Grade 4 in GCSE English

Salary, Hours & Benefits:  

  • £20,800 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm – full time office based unless on training can then WFH
  • 33 days annual holiday including statutory bank holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in data. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
