Ready to kick-start your career in data?

At Park Cakes, we’ve been baking cakes and desserts for the UK’s biggest retailers for over 80 years — and now we want you to join us. As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you’ll learn how to turn numbers into insights that keep our bakeries running smoothly and help shape the future of our business. You’ll get hands-on experience with tools like Excel and Power BI, while working alongside friendly teams who are experts in what they do.

We’re looking for someone curious, motivated, and excited to learn — no previous experience needed. If you’re good with numbers, love solving problems, and want a career with real progression, this is the perfect place to start. You’ll earn while you learn, gain a recognised qualification, and have the chance to move into a full Data Analyst role once you complete your apprenticeship.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships 

A Typical Day in the Job:  

  • Provide holiday cover for the planning team.
  • Produce accurate production plans, both daily and weekly while working within constraints.
  • Manage stock levels to meet customer and business needs.
  • Produce reports for various departments to monitor production progress on customer requirements and manage service levels to the customer.
  • Provide planning forecasts in order to predict labour/agency and capacity.
  • Responsible for agreed stock holding levels of both finished goods and work in progress.
  • Work closely with Production teams to efficiently utilise Labour and Production resource time.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.  

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge  

  • A good level of IT skills, including excel
  • Ability to stay calm in a pressurised environment and think logically under pressure
  • Good communication and influencing skills, both verbal electronic
  • Ability to building strong working relationships and work within multiple teams
  • Operate in a flexible working environment including hours of work
  • Highly numerate and comfortable with analysing data
  • Able to rationale and asses multiple views to get a decision
  • Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics and Grade 4 in GCSE English

Salary, Hours & Benefits:  

  • £29,500 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 6am-3pm
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in data. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
