You’ll be involved in keeping our technology running smoothly, supporting staff and students, and developing new skills that will set you up for an exciting future in the world of IT.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Respond promptly to support requests, resolving technical issues that arise throughout the school day.
- Perform routine system maintenance across school networks and devices.
- Assist with the development, setup, and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Support and maintain the school's IT inventory system, ensuring all assets are accurately tracked.
- Ensure all IT equipment is used safely securely, reporting faults or potential risks as required.
- Deploy and test technology, events and school functions.
- Support with AV and technical requirements for assemblies, meetings, and marketing events.
- Contribute to improvements in robustness and efficiency of school systems by using initiative to identify and recommend enhancements.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- A genuine passion for working with computers, systems, and new technologies, with a willingness to continue learning.
- Self-motivated, able to take initiative, and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Confident in communicating with users and colleagues, both face-to-face and through written or verbal channels.
- Comfortable collaborating with others, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive and supportive working environment.
- Able to prioritise workload, manage time effectively, and maintain clear documentation to support IT processes and service delivery.
- Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £18,980 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 25 days annual leave

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
