Are you passionate about technology and looking to launch your career in IT? This apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in first-line support while working towards an industry-recognised qualification. You’ll be joining a supportive team that will guide you as you develop essential skills across IT support, networking, hardware, and software.

You will also be working towards your Level 3 IT Support qualification delivered by our expert team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job

  • Configure and install new hardware and software for clients.
  • Answer and log incoming calls to the Service Desk, escalating where required.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues (Microsoft, Dell, SonicWall, switches).
  • Use monitoring and security tools such as SentinelOne and ConnectWise.
  • Support with virtualised systems and backups using Datto.
  • Create and amend PowerShell and batch scripts.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies and procedures.
  • Balance work and study time to fulfil apprenticeship requirements.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • A genuine interest in IT and commitment to building a career in the field.
  • Strong problem-solving and active listening skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly and follow structured processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows PCs and Microsoft Office tools.
  • An understanding of networking concepts (desirable).
  • Previous IT-related study, projects, or self-taught experience (advantageous).
  • Grades required – Maths 4/C, English 5/C

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  • £18,000 – £20,000 salary.
  • Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm (Required to work flexible hours)
  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
