Venom IT is on the lookout for passionate young talent ready to jump into the world of tech. From small beginnings in a garage to becoming one of the North-West’s leading IT providers, Venom IT has built a reputation for innovation, teamwork and big ideas. Now, they want the next generation to join the journey.
This apprenticeship is the chance to learn hands-on from industry experts, gain real qualifications, and work with the latest tech in cloud, cybersecurity and IT support—no boring days, just real experience that sets up a future career.
On top of that, Venom IT knows how to look after its people. Apprentices get 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, regular team nights out, meals, and fun team-building activities. It’s a role where hard work is rewarded and the team makes sure you enjoy the journey too.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Be the first point of contact for IT queries, helping colleagues and customers with a wide range of technical issues.
- Log, track and resolve support requests, making sure everything is recorded and followed up properly.
- Troubleshoot problems and learn how to identify and fix issues quickly, with support from experienced team members.
- Get hands-on with industry-standard tools for hosting, system management and IT support.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, making sure every interaction is clear, friendly and professional.
- Build a strong foundation for your career with practical, real-world IT experience while earning as you learn.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £15,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm (1 hour lunch)
- 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Good understanding of IT Hardware and software
- Ability to work independently and us initiative
- Good communication skills both written and spoken
- Confidence to work with colleagues across all departments
- Troubleshooting mind-set
- Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Maths.
Your Training with Baltic:
This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
