Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology? Are you ready to kick-start your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? Watches of Switzerland Group are looking for an IT Desktop Support Apprentice to join their existing Infrastructure Support team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide day-to-day support to end-users and their devices, while gaining invaluable skills and experience in a world-class luxury retail company.
You will be a key player in their IT team, providing crucial support to our colleagues across three UK offices (approximately 500 users) and numerous remote users. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with their IT team in Fort Lauderdale, USA. This role is perfect for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Main Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately process new starters, leavers, and movers, ensuring laptops and PCs are fully set up for end-users.
- Diligently maintain and update systems, including Active Directory, to ensure good housekeeping practices.
- Contribute to a variety of assignments and mini-projects, helping to drive key initiatives to completion.
- Stay up-to-date with cyber security alerts to ensure the integrity of our systems.
- Assist with IT auditing and inventory management as required.
- Create and update technical documentation to ensure processes are clear and current.
Skills and Experience you will learn:
- Desktops/Laptops: Hardware imaging using the MDT platform, Windows 11 Operating Systems, docking stations, monitor connectivity, and cyber security elements such as BitLocker and Endpoint Security.
- Software: Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, Defender for Endpoint anti-virus software, Teams, and more.
- Systems: Active Directory, Service Desk Plus ticketing system, meeting room conference call solutions, and meticulous documentation.
- Customer Experience: You will develop strong communication skills by dealing with colleagues face-to-face, over Teams calls, and on the telephone. You will learn to remain focused, prioritise support requests, and provide polite, professional support to all users.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- A strong desire to learn and a collaborative spirit, keen to work closely with the existing team.
- The ability to follow directions from managers and teammates through to completion.
- A flexible approach, capable of moving between 'business as usual' activities and project work.
- The ability to work in an extremely busy IT Support environment.
- Grade 4/C in Maths GCSE & Grade 5/C in English GCSE (REQUIRED)
