With significant investment and a strong pipeline of transformational projects, a Data Analyst Level 4 Apprentice will play a key role in turning data into insight — supporting smarter decisions, optimising performance, and contributing to the infrastructure behind a cleaner, more sustainable tomorrow.
Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, the apprentice will work towards a recognised qualification with Baltic Apprenticeships. This will include structured training delivered in dedicated 2-day blocks every 4–6 weeks, providing the opportunity to build technical knowledge while gaining valuable real-world experience in a professional environment.

A Typical Day in the Job:
- Support day to day operation of monitoring dashboards, data feeds, reporting tools, and associated digital services, complete routine checks to confirm systems are operating as expected.
- Respond to alerts and system issues, perform first line investigation, collect evidence from logs and dashboards, escalate issues with clear information, track actions to closure, and maintain an accurate incident record.
- Run routine checks on operational datasets to identify missing data, time gaps, incorrect tags, and outliers, maintain data quality logs and trackers, support corrective actions under supervision.
- Prepare daily and weekly summaries, assist with monthly reporting packs, produce accurate tables and charts in Excel, and highlight exceptions for further investigation.
- Learn to create, run, and maintain simple Python scripts to automate repeatable tasks, for example data extraction, validation checks, and report preparation, follow version control and documentation standards.
- Maintain clear technical notes, update checklists and SOPs, and contribute to improving reliability and consistency of monitoring and reporting workflows.
- Provide structured updates to internal teams, request information when required, and communicate progress and findings clearly and professionally.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy.
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage routine tasks consistently
- Professional written and verbal communication.
- Interest in technology, systems, and data, with willingness to learn.
- Calm approach to troubleshooting and incident handling.
- Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Excel confidence, including formulas and basic charts.
- Interest or basic exposure to Python.
- Awareness of cloud services and how data moves between systems.
- Grade 5/C in GCSE Maths and Grade 4/C in GCSE English
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £16,500 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
- 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
