Reporting directly to the Net Zero Delivery Manager and supporting the work of the Director of Home, this is a role where your work will improve lives, reduce emissions, and help us build a fairer, greener, smarter future.

This will involve supporting the Director of Home and Net Zero Delivery Manager with both sustainability and zero carbon retrofit projects and ad-hoc project management duties to improve the energy performance of Connect Housing stock.

As part of this apprenticeship, Baltic Apprenticeships partner with the Institute of Sustainability Studies; of which you will gain a diploma in Business sustainability + your Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Sustainability for Business Impact Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • You will be helping to create and deliver measurable improvements to our properties and neighbourhoods
  • Contribute to the regional climate strategy through engagement and networking
  • Support the Net Zero Delivery Manager with the Better Homes programme, reducing carbon emissions in our properties
  • Support Connect’s organisational goals and comply with our rules, regulations and policies
  • Devote time and attention to studies as well as work duties

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

  • Salary – National Minimum Wage for Age – £14526.2 – 23492.04

  • A genuine interest in or awareness of sustainability and the net zero agenda
  • Enthusiasm for developing skills in sustainability and project management
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Good timekeeping skills
  • Learn to work with some autonomy
  • Proactive and able to work with autonomy at times
  • Grade 4/C in Maths & English GCSE
