The IT Technician Apprentice will assist in providing technical support and maintenance for the school’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for IT, who is eager to develop their skills in a school setting. The apprentice will be trained on a variety of IT systems, equipment, and software, and will have the opportunity to work closely with staff and students, ensuring all IT resources are effectively maintained and operational.
A Typical Day in the Job:
· Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software across the school.
· Provide first-line support for students and staff with IT issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems.
· Set up and configure new devices and ensure they are connected to the network and operational.
· Ensure the security of IT systems and data by following established protocols, including managing software updates and virus protection.
· Help maintain and manage the school’s network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity for all users.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £12,291 per annum
- 44 weeks per year – term time only
- 37 hours per week – 8am – 4pm
- Mentorship from IT Manager
- Access to additional CPD alongside the apprenticeship
- Lead on projects of interest
