This Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals certification course provides participants with foundational knowledge of core data concepts and Azure data services. Delivered live by our in-house Microsoft certified trainers, participants will learn about relational, non-relational, big data, and analytics concepts whilst exploring cloud data services within Microsoft Azure.
The course covers relational database services in Azure, Azure storage for non-relational data, Azure Cosmos DB fundamentals, plus large-scale data warehousing, real-time analytics, and data visualisation capabilities to prepare participants for the DP-900 certification exam.
The course includes sitting the DP-900: Azure Data Fundamentals certification exam.
Course Modules
This module explores how data powers digital transformation across organisations and society. Participants will learn what constitutes “data”, how it’s represented and used in modern business environments, and discover the distinct roles data professionals perform in building and managing software solutions using multiple technologies and services.
This module explores Azure Storage, a core Microsoft Azure service commonly used for storing non-relational data, and Azure Cosmos DB, which provides a highly scalable store for non-relational data solutions.
This module explores how organisations build large-scale data analytics solutions using Microsoft’s technologies to generate insights and drive success. Participants will learn about stream processing, Azure services for real-time analytics, and fundamental principles of analytical data modelling and visualisation using Microsoft Power BI.

- All learners will need to connect to exam virtual machines (VMs) using RDP
