In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Software Development, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle, working closely with developers to learn coding standards, debugging, security practices, and testing methodologies.
  • Write and maintain code, use Git for version control, and gain experience with APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, CSV uploads), and deployment processes.
  • Perform multiple testing types (unit, integration, functional, end-to-end, acceptance) and follow CI/CD security standards; ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1).
  • Collaborate internally via Slack, Discord, and Jira for project management, while focusing on development rather than customer-facing tasks.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing, supporting sustainable development practices and strong data ethics.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • £18,000 – £22,000 Per annum
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
