Each course includes two days of online, live technical training and a certification exam, and they are free for individuals in the Tees Valley Combined Authority.
MICROSOFT AZURE DATA FUNDAMENTALS (DP-900)
Unlock the full potential of your data with a secure and scalable platform for AI, analytics, and innovation.
By participating in this course, learners will:
– Learn to describe ways to represent data, identify options for data storage, describe options for data storage, describe common data workloads, and identify roles and responsibilities for data workloads.
– Develop skills in describing relational concepts and Azure data services: Azure SQL and Azure database services for open-source database systems.
– Learn to describe common elements of large-scale analytics, consideration for real-time data analytics, and data visualisation in Microsoft Power BI.
MICROSOFT SECURITY, COMPLIANCE AND IDENTITY FUNDAMENTALS (SC-900)
Build a strong foundation with our Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals. Protect data, ensure compliance, and empower your teams with secure access.
By participating in this course, you will:
– Learn Microsoft security concepts: shared responsibility model, defence-in-depth, and the Zero Trust model.
– Learn Azure security concepts: Primary Security Perimeter and Authentication.
– Learn to describe function and identity types, authentication capabilities, access management capabilities, and identify protection and governance capabilities of Microsoft Entra ID.
– Learn to describe the capabilities of Microsoft Sentinel and threat protection with Microsoft Defender XDR.
– Learn about Microsoft Service Trust Portal and privacy principles, and Microsoft Purview.
MICROSOFT AZURE FUNDAMENTALS (AZ-900)

– Master the fundamentals of security, compliance, privacy, and licensing, and support related to Microsoft 365.
MICROSOFT FUNDAMENTALS (MS-900)

By participating in this course, you will learn:
– Knowledge of Azure’s architectural components, including core services like computer, networking, and storage.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FREE MICROSOFT CERTIFICATIONS
💙 Individuals in Tees Valley.
💙 Participants must be 19 or older as of 31 August 2024.
💙 Participants must make a max income of £33,210.
💙 Participants must meet the 3-year residency rule, unless exempt, and courses must be completed before visa expiry.
💙 Participants must remain in England throughout the course.
