As they continue to successfully guide an IT Support Apprentice through their programme with Baltic Apprenticeships, they’re looking to expand the team even further!
In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support level 3 qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- 1st Line Support Assistance: You will actively collaborate with the support team to assist end-users, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide prompt solutions to keep the educational technology running smoothly.
- Onsite IT Support: Be the friendly face on the ground, supporting schools with their IT needs on-site, ensuring efficient operations, and helping to foster a reliable IT environment.
- Configuring and Installing Hardware and Networks: Embrace the challenge of configuring new hardware and implementing networks, contributing to the expansion and optimization of school IT infrastructure.
- User Management and Password Resets: Master the art of user management, ensuring smooth onboarding, and expertly handling password resets to keep educational staff and students empowered.
- Monitoring the Help Desk and Escalations: Become the guardian of our help desk, diligently monitoring inquiries, and effectively escalating critical issues to deliver swift resolutions.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £12,000 to £14,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Working Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5:30 pm
- 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
- Onsite working
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- A genuine interest in Information Technology and its applications.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and networks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A Grade 4/C at GCSE in English and Maths is required for this role

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualifications and experience you need to immerse yourself in an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
