H2o Networks is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join their team as an IT Apprentice! This isn't just another apprenticeship; it's your chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast paced, innovative environment and kickstart your journey to becoming a true IT professional. They're looking for someone eager to learn, contribute, and become a vital part of their team.
In this role you will provide frontline support via the service desk and ticketing system, connecting and configuring network devices (modems, routers, servers, switches and computers). Troubleshoot technical issues onsite at client locations, resolving hardware errors, upgrading components (RAM, hard drives and Windows), and performing cabling. Gain hands-on experience and make a real impact on their clients' success.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Working on the IT Service Desk.
- Respond to customers using the ticketing system.
- Connect computer network devices such as modems, routers, computers, servers and switches.
- Go out to client sites working on technical issues, providing IT and Network support.
- Troubleshoot customers technical issues.
- Look at hardware errors, adding RAM, hard drives and upgrading Windows.
- Carry out cabling – cat 5 and cat 6.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £14,000-£16,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
- 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays!
- Company pension scheme.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A passion for IT and Technology, show demonstration of this in your personal life.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Maths.
Your Training with Baltic:
This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
