If so, then this IT Apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity for you!
In this exciting role, you will work alongside their experienced IT team, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of areas. You will also have the opportunity to earn industry recognised qualifications, setting you up for a successful career in IT!
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Maintaining the IT helpdesk, keeping tickets up to date and prioritising effectively
- Ensuring proper asset management, through auditing, replacement and relocation of IT equipment
- Create, maintain and distribute documentation to assist stakeholders, staff, students and others in the IT team
- Support applications both web based and on end user devices including collaboration tools and mail systems
- Assisting users with wireless setup, monitoring of wireless devices and installation of new access points as necessary
- Carry out regular room checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order
- Maintain printers and scanners, audio visual solutions, phone solutions, CCTV and IT peripherals
- Install, update and diagnose faults with hardware and software. Ensuring appropriate testing of fixes is carried out
- Credential and permissions management for school platforms
- Assisting in the maintenance of the Anti-Virus solution
- Assist in reviewing filtering and monitoring alerts
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £22,366 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
- 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Confident communication skills – telephone, email, in person and with student and teachers
- An eagerness to learn
- Keen interest in IT
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight and changing deadlines in a busy environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths
