Livepoint Software Solutions is on the hunt for a talented Level 4 Software Developer Apprentice to join their passionate team. They are seeking a Software Development Apprentice eager to dive into their core technologies and gain hands-on experience in the workflow management sector. You'll play a key role in supporting the enhancement and evolution of the SwiftCase platform, learning from industry leaders and contributing to a product known for its functionality, user experience, and innovation.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Software Development qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Assist in developing and enhancing the SwiftCase platform using PHP with Symfony and JavaScript, backed by MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Learn to create innovative features and optimise platform performance.
  • Gain an understanding of platform security, performance, and scalability.
  • Keep up with industry trends to help shape product strategy.
  • Contribute to delivering technical solutions and customer support.
  • Engage in a structured learning path for continuous skill enhancement.

 Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £18,000-£20,000 per annum
  • Working Monday-Friday
  • Flexible working hours, 37.5 hours per week

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL/MariaDB knowledge is desirable.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about the workflow management market.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Curiosity about Node.js, Next.js, and React.
  • Minimum grade 4/C in English and Maths at GCSE is required for this role.

Your Training with Baltic:

With our unique apprenticeship programme, you'll build an impressive range of coding skills and learn to thrive as a junior developer. On completion, 95% of our learners remain in full-time employment.
