IT Support Apprentice

Production Park is a world-renowned live events and virtual production campus based in Wakefield. They provide cutting-edge facilities and services to entertainment giants like Coldplay, The Brit Awards, and Cirque du Soleil. As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in IT support while working with the latest technology in a dynamic industry that’s shaping the future of entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Support: Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, handling tasks such as password resets, setting up email accounts, and managing antivirus encryption.
  • Technical Documentation: Work with internal CRM platforms to access network diagrams and technical policies.
  • Problem Solving: Support escalations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) using Microsoft Teams Ticketing System. Document and track issues while troubleshooting with tools like Microsoft, Wireshark, and Cisco Meraki.
  • Hardware & Software Support: Upgrade and configure hardware, including laptops, printers, scanners, and projectors. Conduct software updates using AutoPatch and Office Suite, including security patches for Unreal Engine.
  • Network Maintenance: Work with wired and wireless network devices, repairing access points both in-house and externally.
  • Cloud Technology: Get hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as V2 and automate updates using scripting and Command-Line.
  • Exposure to Scripting: Assist in automating software updates using tools like Autopatch and Command-Line.

  • Professionalism: High level of professionalism is essential due to the industry’s fast-paced, high-profile nature.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Problem Solving: Confident in using troubleshooting tools to resolve IT issues.
  • IT Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft tools.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Educational Requirements: A Grade 4/C in Maths and a Grade 5/C in English is required for this role.

Salary, Hours, and Benefits:

  • Salary: £17,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Holidays: 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Perks: Lunch provided daily, and the opportunity to work on exciting live events and film projects.
