Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support: Provide IT support via phone, face-to-face, and electronic communications to ensure quick and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Issue Investigation: Handle incoming calls, thoroughly investigate issues, and ensure all key information is accurately captured.
- Incident Management: Evaluate and assign incidents that cannot be resolved immediately to the appropriate support groups for resolution.
- Software & Hardware Assistance: Assist users with software and hardware issues, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.
- Service Desk Logging: Log all calls and resolutions via our service desk system, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Desired Skills, Qualities, and Experience:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- IT Enthusiasm: A strong desire to work in IT and a willingness to learn are highly encouraged.
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience on an IT Service Desk or in a customer service role is desirable but not essential.
- Time Management: Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Microsoft Office/M365 Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Office/M365 is advantageous.
- IT Qualifications: IT/Computing qualifications or certifications would be a plus.
- Educational Requirements: A Grade 4/C in Maths and a Grade 5/C in English is required for this role.
Salary, Hours, and Benefits:
- Salary: £14,117 per annum
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Saturday Rotation: After 3 months, the apprentice will be expected to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays
- Holidays: 23 days annual leave (plus public/bank holidays), with increases based on length of service
- Pension: Company pension (if eligible)
- Death in Service: Free Death in Service cover (x2 salary)
