They are searching for a driven, enthusiastic IT apprentice to join their team. They will provide on the job training and development so that you can gain hands on experience within a fast paced, multi-national IT environment.
To provide IT technical support across our Northern Europe Management Unit (MU) ensuring quality and efficient IT Service Delivery in line with Beiersdorf Shared Service (BSS) Standards and Policies. You will work with 7 NOE sites, 3 in UK (Beiersdorf HQ and Distribution Centre in Birmingham, La Prairie/Chantecaille HQ in London & remotely with Denmark, Finland, Iceland & Sweden) supporting 400+ employees.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software components, such as Notebooks, Mobile Devices Printers, Scanners, M365 and other bespoke software(s) used in the local business.
- Monitoring, testing, and optimising the performance, availability of IT systems using various tools and reporting any issues to 2nd Level teams.
- Providing technical support and assistance to users and clients, either remotely or on-site, by diagnosing and resolving issues, answering queries logged via ticketing system, and offering guidance and advice.
- Planning, designing, and implementing IT projects based on requirements of stakeholders and deliver optimal solutions in line with global policies and standards.
- Managing and maintaining IT resources, such as hardware, software, data, and licenses, by keeping inventory, documentation, and records.
- Researching and evaluating new technologies, products, and trends, and recommending solutions that meet the needs and goals of the organisation.
- Collaborating and communicating with other IT professionals, vendors, and stakeholders, by participating in meetings, presentations, and training sessions, and sharing information and feedback.
- Working with our global IT organization “Beiersdorf Shared Services (BSS)” to deliver updates and changes to local business and provide training where required.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £20,000 per annum
- Annual bonus (subject to conditions)
- Working 37 hours, Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm
- Early finish on Fridays at 4:30pm

- A Grade 5/C in English and a Grade 4/C in Maths at GCSE is required for this role.

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
