Calling all aspiring IT Technicians… we have the perfect role for you!

Baltic Apprenticeships are working with our client based in Sheffield, they are looking for an IT Apprentice to join their rapidly growing team. As an apprentice you will work on a 15 month apprenticeship program where you will build your technical and professional experience, whilst completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will be given support and guidance to understand how your passion and skills best fit within the industry and the opportunity to develop experience that is relevant that is relevant to be successful. Throughout the apprenticeship you will be supported closely by the IT Manager and a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships to provide you with industry expert knowledge every step of the way.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Implementing security processes such as password resets, anti-virus and multi-factor authentication.
  • Raise support tickets on CASH (CRM system)
  • Dealing with customers via phone, email and ticketing system, while also providing support in person to the Sheffield office.
  • Arranging for hardware to be sent to client sets to be install, configured and upgraded.
  • Dealing with Network servers in HQ to change cables or routers.
  • Getting exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure sharepoint, 365 and Azure IT Directory

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £13,500-£14,500 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
  • 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
  • Regular staff meals every 8 weeks.
  • Flexible working
  • If you're a driver your mileage will be covered.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • An interest in tech and passion for IT
  • Willingness to work hard and put the effort in
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths

Your Training with Baltic:

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Technician.
