As your Telecommunications Service Provider, we promise to excel through open communication and exceptional service.

 

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

 

  • Offer technical support to customers both internal and external through a range of communication channels such as Telephone, face to face, remote log in and ticketing system (Zendesk)
  • Use basic scripts to do IP configuration, IP settings, flushing DNS IP config release and IP config new, adding users to virtual environments.
  • Establish and diagnose IT problems and faults using troubleshooting tools such as TeamViewer, and other tools to diagnose problems such as Ping, Advanced IP Scanner, MS Libraries.
  • Interpret technical specifications relevant to the IT tasks – tasks given by customers on tickets for jobs & installs to be completed.
  • Work alongside other staff to decide what the best solution for the customer
  • Apply the appropriate security policies to IT tasks such as creating and maintaining user accounts across multiple platforms, such as Office 365

 

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday – flexible working hours – 37.5 hours per week
  • £15,000 per annum
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Free parking

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Passionate about IT
  • Good communication skills
  • Desire to excel in the IT industry
  • Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 5 in English is essential
