Calling all aspiring Software Developers! Baltic Apprenticeships are thrilled to be partnering with a software company in the HVAC-R industry, who are now on the hunt to hire their next Software Development Apprentice to join their team of experts.

The client has 4 decades of expertise in the design of HVAC software systems for manufactures of Air Handling Units, Coils, Fan Coils, Fans and walk-in cold stores. They work globally ,with their software supporting eight different languages, this is an exciting opportunity giving you hands-on experience working with industry experts to reach your true potential!

As a Software Development Apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for working on the full development cycle from Coding, Testing and Deployment, with full training and support provided to enhance your skills to become an effective software developer.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Junior Software Developer qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Testing and developing software to client briefs – working on the full software life-cycle
  • Communicating with clients, including project work and problem solving
  • Working with team members, including shadowing where relevant and attending team meetings
  • Learning new programming languages when required such as Python, Java & C++
  • Working on projects for improvements to software features

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary – £16,800
  • Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
  • Qualifying for workplace pension scheme

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong A-level or equivalent grades in STEM subjects
  • C++, C# or Typescript beneficial but not essential
  • Desire to progress within a software development career
  • A passion for software development
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Technically minded and analytical
  • Grade 6/C in Maths GCSE & Grade 4/C in English GCSE
